My Inspiration
I’ve been creating with clay since 2015. My work is deeply influenced by the natural world around me—especially the flora and fauna of our coastal ecosystems. With an environmental background, I see art as more than just a form of self-expression. To me, it’s a way to remind us of the beauty that exists in nature, and to help us reconnect with it.
Each piece I create celebrates the raw, unrefined qualities of clay, where imperfections are not flaws, but rather unique details that give character and life to the work. I spend my time in my home studio, crafting one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces, functional home goods, and teaching students how to throw on the wheel and explore hand-building techniques.

My Connection to the Sea
The ocean has always been a deep source of inspiration for me. Whether I’m surfing its waves or swimming in its vastness, it’s a place where my mind quiets, and I can fully connect with the present moment. Similarly, the walks I take along the coast bring a sense of grounding that’s hard to find elsewhere. These experiences shape my work in many ways—infusing it with the colors, textures, and energy of the sea. The ocean’s calm yet wild spirit flows into my art, giving my pieces both movement and peace, while keeping them rooted.
