Inspired by my beloved cat Bongo Man, my handmade greeters fill the gaps between pots in kiln firings. As an environmentally conscious potter and someone that doesn't like to waste, I wanted to fill every nook and cranny of my kiln to get the most out of every firing. So I came up with these little creatures.

At the time, I didn't think much of these silly little things. I just thought they were fun to make. I started putting them everywhere they would fit - the garden, studio, around the house, and on my car dash. Then I took them to some vendor markets and they were a hit!

The name Greeters was inspired by a customer who shared her love of little figures and displays her collection to greet guests when entering her home.

The mystery box came later, inspired by my love of blind boxes. I wanted to create my own handmade version of that experience.
