* I do not exceed cone 6.

* Individual shelves are cone 04 (bisque & low fire glaze) and cone 6 (glaze). Any other cone temp will require the purchase of a full kiln.

Important Notes

  • * Pieces must be completely bone dry

    • I do not hold pieces that are leather hard or "almost bone dry" they must be fully bone dry before dropping off.
    • TIP: You can dry them though your oven. Place your pieces in your oven and hold the temperature at 200 degrees for 2-8 hours until there is no moisture coming from your pieces.
    • I hold the right to not fire an item if it is too thick or not bone dry.

  • * Ceramic Cookies ~ Cookies are required in any glaze firing. You can provide your own, or I can provide them for an additional cost.

    • "Cookies” are ceramic material that is placed under a glazed piece. It's purpose is to help protect the kiln shelves from any glaze that may run or drip from your piece.
    • These can be purchased from the ceramic store or made

    Cookies are bisque fired FREE of cost!

  • * The following is not included

    • Stilts, bead racks, glaze drip catchers or any other specialty kiln furniture is not included. Please bring any specialty kiln furniture at time of drop off.
    • I provide kiln furniture for extra cost.

  • * Payment ~ Price and payment are determined and paid upon delivery.

    • I accept cash and zelle payment.
    • I can give estimates, but the price is determined upon delivery.

  • * Drop off & Pick up ~

    Please drop off your pieces in a box with your name clearly labeled on it. Your pieces will be placed in the same box that you provided for drop off after they are fired.

  • * Damages ~ Customer will be responsible for any damage to the kiln. This includes glaze dripping onto the kiln shelves, pieces blowing up in the firing, etc.

    • If a piece explodes in a bisque firing, kiln renters will be charged $25 per piece for kiln clean up. Additional charges will be made if there are damages to kiln shelves, furniture or kiln structure exceeds $25. 
    • If glaze drips or runs onto kiln furniture, kiln renters will be charged $25 per piece for kiln clean up. Additional charges will be made if damage to kiln shelves, furniture or kiln structure exceeds $25.
